Honda’s eGX Electric Power Unit is a battery-powered motor designed for commercial power equipment products. With low noise and easy maintenance the eGX Engine provides the construction machinery market the opportunity to be compatible with usage environments that would otherwise be difficult such as indoor work and construction work in residential areas.
Engine
The eGX is Honda’s first Electric Power Unit, currently available to existing account holders in the Business to Business OEM Sales Channel. Honda’s response to electrification provides OEMs with a solution that will minimise investment on engine electrification by delivering an engine with low vibration, low noise and easy operation/maintenance. The highly efficient 2kW class brushless DC motor is available in two types, Integrated & Separate, ensuring there is a variation to suit many specifications and provide consistent value to users.
Convenience
The Battery Pack contains the Battery Management System (BMS) and Battery Cell. Lithium ion is used for the battery cell to ensure high output with improved dustproof and waterproof performance. The BMS communicates with the charger and always monitors the battery during operation and charging to secure safe performance and battery durability. A durable frame is used for the charger with a built-in cooling fan to enable faster charging.
Fuel Efficiency
The demand for DC battery equipment has increased in recent years due to the enhanced environmental regulations, worker protection and awareness of noise pollution in various environments. Honda is proud to now offer the standard created by the GX Engine.
