CONNECTIVITY & TELEMATICS

Technological advancements in machinery integration and connectivity now offer more tools for owners and operators in fleet and data management. The Case IH AFS Connect software, along with the FieldOps online portal and mobile app, provides a platform for owners to remotely monitor machinery operations and access, as well as download, machinery and agronomic data and reports.

The Case IH AFS Connect system utilises GPS and cellular connectivity to transmit agronomic information to and from the machine, delivering real-time machine performance and maintenance data to the owner, no matter where they are in the world. The FieldOps management tool enables machinery managers or owners to oversee all machines and, by extension, the operations team from a single webpage. This feature offers precise working locations and operational information to help make decisions regarding refuelling needs, scheduled maintenance, and logistics management, such as load-out timing during the harvest.

Additionally, safety and security features are available for owners and machinery managers through a system known as ‘geo-fencing.’ This system allows for the establishment of boundaries such as operational times or physical operating areas. These boundaries can trigger alerts to inform the owner or manager when operations move beyond those limits or if fuel has been removed from the machine while it is not in use.

RedMac Ag Services Product Specialists offer a remote diagnostics and support service for customers who grant dealer access to their connected machinery. This system enables real-time error and fault monitoring, allowing for the identification, investigation, and remote management of machinery issues whenever possible.

The remote service tool empowers dealers to detect service needs from afar, allowing them to proactively ascertain which parts may be required before sending a technician for repairs or maintenance.

Included in this system is Firmware-over-the-air (FOTA) technology, which enables dealers to deploy updates to operating firmware—often a source of faults—thereby reducing the need for a physical connection with an Electronic Service Tool (EST) for certain controllers.

Case IH AFS Connect machinery can also be equipped with a remote operator assistance support feature, enabling dealer support staff, machine owners, and managers to access the in-cabin screen remotely. This allows them to assist operators with setup and controls.

Remote Assistance establishes a real-time link between dealer staff, machine owners, managers, and the machinery operator, facilitating guidance in troubleshooting and instruction on control configuration in the cab. This feature delivers immediate support, minimising downtime from on-site visits, and offers operators—regardless of skill level—the confidence to operate equipment safely and effectively.
