MaxxRipper® is purpose-built to tackle this problem, shattering compacted layers down to approximately 600 mm and restoring natural soil structure.
Its extremely robust frame carries heavy-duty ripping shanks arranged in an efficient V-pattern, with 500–550 mm spacing to reduce draft and improve tracking. A shear-pin protection system guards against underground obstacles, while the trailing knifing roller breaks up clods and leaves a more even finish for subsequent operations.
Available in 7, 9 and 11 shank trailing models to suit tractors from around 280 to 600 hp, MaxxRipper® gives you the tools to improve root development, nutrient uptake, moisture availability and overall crop performance across demanding Australian conditions.
MaxxRipper® combines deep-working shanks with a smart, high-clearance layout to deliver true ground-breaking performance. The V-pattern shank arrangement improves soil shattering and reduces draft, while the heavy main frame members and underframe clearance help residue flow easily through the machine. Each shank is protected by a shear-pin system, and the heavy-duty knifing roller conditions the soil surface and busts clods for better water infiltration and trafficability. By breaking through hard pans and improving subsoil structure, MaxxRipper® encourages deeper root systems, greater nutrient access and more consistent crop growth across the paddock.

MaxxRipper® Options
MaxxRipper® offers a range of point and shank options so you can match the level of disturbance to your soil type and farming system. Minimum soil disturbance points focus energy on breaking the hard pan while leaving the surface relatively undisturbed, ideal for controlled-traffic or stubble-retained systems. Cast wing points and parabolic tynes provide greater lift and mixing where more soil inversion or residue movement is required. Optional guard styles further protect the shanks in abrasive or rocky conditions, helping you fine-tune performance, manage draft and extend component life while achieving the ripping result your paddocks need.
