Spraying isn’t getting any easier in the Midwest. Chemical costs keep climbing, spray windows keep shrinking with the wind and weather, drift rules keep tightening, and herbicide resistance means every missed weed matters. That’s why we’ve added MagrowTec to our range: it’s a simple upgrade that works with the sprayer you’ve already got.

What is MagrowTec?

MagrowTec is an Irish ag-tech company that has been developing its technology since 2013. Its system fits onto your existing boom sprayer and runs your spray mix through precisely engineered rare-earth magnetic fields before it reaches the nozzles.

That conditioning changes how the fluid behaves, giving you more droplets of the right size to reach the target, spread across it and stay put. In other words, the kind of results you’d normally buy surfactants and drift-reduction adjuvants to get, achieved through physics rather than chemistry.

Best of all, there’s nothing to fuss over. No electronics, nothing to power or program, no moving parts, and no maintenance beyond your normal flush at the end of the day.

Meet the new L-Series

We’re stocking MagrowTec’s latest L-Series system, which the company spent two years refining based on grower feedback. Here’s what’s new:

• Quicker to fit: a rodless design that installs in two to four hours, about half the time of earlier models, so your sprayer is back in the paddock sooner.
• Five-year warranty: extended cover for extra peace of mind.
• Moves with you: when it’s time to upgrade your sprayer, the system can come off and go straight onto the new one.

The results growers are seeing

MagrowTec reports the following from its field trials and customers:

• more than 20 per cent higher on-target coverage, including gains of 28 per cent in cereals;
• up to 97.5 per cent certified drift reduction;
• typically double the area per tank, where cutting water rates is agronomically appropriate.

The technology is backed by more than 110 crop science studies, with over 400 systems installed worldwide and more than a million acres (around 405,000 hectares) sprayed. MagrowTec puts the typical payback at under a year.

One US grower running 6,500 acres of cotton and peanuts halved his carrier water and doubled the area he could cover per tank, picking up around 1,000 extra acres a week in the spray rig.

For Midwest growers, fewer refills and more hectares per tank means more paddocks sprayed while conditions are right. As always, any change to water rates needs to stay within the product label, and our team is happy to talk you through the right setup for your operation.
