Capability to Operate a Wider Header in Highly Irregular Field Conditions
The accurate ground-following ability of the FD2 PLUS makes it an ideal choice for operators managing challenging terrains, allowing them to use a wider header than they might have thought possible.
With improved FlexDraper® performance on every pass, a wider FD2 PLUS boosts efficiency, saves time, reduces fuel consumption, and improves overall harvesting outcomes.
MacDon didn’t just aim to build another flexing cutterbar draper; they’ve taken the legendary FlexDraper® platform and supercharged its ground-following performance. With over 2 inches of extra flex at the cutterbar, it hugs the ground tighter than ever, diving into those low spots and scooping up every single bit of available crop.

Adding a little over 2 inches of extra flex at the cutterbar compared to the FD2, the FD2 PLUS follows the ground even better in extreme conditions, allowing you to reach more crop without sacrificing reel-to-cutterbar positioning.*
The low-profile cutterbar and close reel positioning ensure the cut crop is lifted off the ground and smoothly transitioned onto the drapers and into the combine.

The FD2 PLUS’s ability to closely follow irregular ground allows those with extremely uneven field conditions to consider running a wider header than usual. With enhanced FlexDraper® performance in every pass, a wider FD2 PLUS would increase efficiency, save time, reduce fuel consumption, and optimise your overall harvesting performance.
💥 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘀
Like the FD2, switching the FD2 PLUS from a flexing frame to a rigid frame is as simple as flipping two levers.
The FD2 PLUS also allows operators to lock out the flexible cutterbar with an equally straightforward process. Simply locate the leaf springs, apply leverage with the provided lockout tool to lift them, and then insert a lock block.
Wider headers have more leaf springs, but the process remains the same, ensuring a quick, easy conversion.
